The State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT) continues to expand its global partnerships. A high-level delegation, led by Rector Professor Volodymyr Shulha, paid an official visit to Morgan State University in Baltimore, USA – a renowned research institution and one of America’s leading public universities. The delegation also included First Vice-Rector Professor Oleksandr Korchenko and Professor Mukafat Askerov.

The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two universities. The SUICT delegation was welcomed by the leadership team and representatives of the International Office, including:

• Hongtao Yu, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs;
• Nicholas Kovach, Director for Strategic Initiatives and Operations;
• Farzad Moazzami, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.

During a productive dialogue, both sides explored new opportunities for student and staff mobility, the launch of joint research and educational initiatives, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships.

A key highlight of the meeting was Rector Professor Volodymyr Shulha’s invitation for Morgan State University to participate in the upcoming International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Transformation: Strengthening Cybersecurity Capabilities in the Modern World.”

The conference is organised by SUICT in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and brings together leading global experts to address key challenges in cybersecurity and digital innovation. Morgan State University representatives warmly accepted the invitation and confirmed their participation, underlining the shared commitment to advancing international collaboration.

Beyond formal meetings, the delegation toured Morgan State University’s state-of-the-art campus, including its modern laboratories, advanced research facilities, and impressive library. The visit offered valuable insights into the academic culture and operational excellence of a top US university, providing inspiration for future joint initiatives.
