On September 29, a high-level delegation from the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT) paid an official visit to Istanbul Atlas University (Istanbul, Türkiye), marking an important step in expanding the university’s global partnerships.

The delegation included Professor Volodymyr Shulha, Rector of SUICT, Professor Oleksandr Korchenko, First Vice-Rector, and Professor Mukafat Askerov.

The visit began with a campus tour, followed by a meeting with Dr. Yusuf Elgörmüş, Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees, Professor Ersoy Koçabişak, Rector, Professor Zafer Utlu, Vice-Rector, and faculty deans.

The discussions focused on developing cooperation in the fields of education, research, and international academic exchange. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to building sustainable and forward-looking academic ties.

The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities. The document was signed by Professor Volodymyr Shulha, Rector of SUICT, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and Dr. Yusuf Elgörmüş, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Atlas University.

This agreement paves the way for:

• Faculty, student, and staff exchanges through Erasmus+, KA-171, CBHE, and Horizon programs;
• Student transfer opportunities in line with both universities’ internal regulations;
• Joint research projects and knowledge sharing across diverse fields;
• Co-hosting academic conferences, seminars, and symposia;
• Engagement initiatives for students interested in pursuing studies at both institutions.

The Memorandum lays a solid foundation for long-term collaboration, fostering innovation, academic excellence, and cross-cultural exchange.
