On Wednesday, April 30, first- to third-year Economics students at The State University of Communication and Informational Technologies attended a guest lecture by Oleksandr Naida, CEO of the Laboratory 01 group of companies and a top-tier expert with over 25 years of experience in business process automation, managerial and financial accounting, and the implementation of ERP systems, CRM platforms, RPA solutions, and modern technologies based on BAS, SAP, Odoo, and Microsoft Dynamics.
The lecture, titled “Automation and Robotization of Business Processes. The Business Owner’s Dashboard: What Works in Ukraine and What Doesn’t,” offered future economists a practical guide to navigating the realities of digital transformation in business.
The session focused on real-life case studies involving the implementation of accounting automation systems, cost and cash flow management, as well as hands-on tools already in use by leading Ukrainian companies.
Particular attention was given to real-time business monitoring tools – so-called executive dashboards – as well as business analytics instruments and the use of artificial intelligence in managerial decision-making.
Mr. Naida shared insights from his work with leading organizations, including Nova Poshta, Ukrnafta, Electrum, GlobalMoney, UNIT.City, the state-owned Polygraph Combine “Ukraina”, and multiple regional forestry enterprises.
The lecture aligned perfectly with core courses offered by the Department of Economics, such as:
