For the first time mobile services operator life:) has conducted the training programme for teachers of technical Universities, providing them with the most up-to-date specialized information and the possibility to deepen their theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Free trainings by life:) experts and trainers from world-known ICT solutions provider HUAWEI have been taking place for two weeks in the central office of the operator and got a lot of positive feedbacks from its first participants.

This year operator life:) has invited University teachers to visit trainings for technical professionals for the first time. The new programme became a certain addition to the popular operator’s educational and social programme Jump Into life:) for senior students, but this time the participants are the teachers who prepare future telecommunication specialists and work in technical Universities. The aim of the programme is to contribute into modernization of the theoretical basis of the Ukrainian higher technical education with a help of classes that introduce the work and the needs of real business to the teachers, preparing future specialists for this business.

In order to provide the participants with the biggest amount of the most useful information, mobile operator life:) organized open discussions with teachers and made a detailed analysis of University lectures they read to students. As a result the operator developed the educational programme, including trainings on six directions and practical laboratory work. Thus, visiting 8 training days, the University teachers strengthened their knowledge of transport and core network operations, radio network planning and OSS systems functioning with a help of detailed lectures from life:) technical managers. Meanwhile, the highly-qualified specialists from ICT solutions provider HUAWEI – partner of the programme – introduced mobile broadband development and fixed broadband development trainings to the listeners. In the course of the programme the participants had also possibility to test the part of the transmission and core network, specially simulated for the trainings.  

life:) announced the enrolment into the programme in the Universities in January of 2015. University teachers from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk joined the trainings that started on January 29 in life:) central office. Today, on February 13, the first programme is running out and all participants will get the certificates, confirming their new knowledge and practical expertise.

Next enrolment to the programme is planned for summer of 2015 and will be open for all technical University teachers, ready to devote their time for discovering the world of communications.
