On 13 March 2026, the leadership of the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (Ukraine) held an online working meeting with representatives of Istanbul Atlas University (Turkey).
Istanbul Atlas University is a private higher education institution in Turkey that began its academic activities in 2018. The university is a member of the European University Association and focuses on combining academic knowledge with practical experience and innovative technologies. Its structure includes six faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Art, Design and Architecture as well as a Graduate School and a Language College.
In his opening remarks, Rector Volodymyr SHULHA expressed his gratitude to the Turkish colleagues for the productive cooperation between the two universities. He informed them that agreement has been reached with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to organize an international scientific and practical conference in Istanbul. The event is scheduled to take place on 17-18 June 2026 and will be hosted by Istanbul Atlas University.
The conference is planned to be organized in partnership between the State University of Information and Communication Technologies, Istanbul Atlas University, and Morgan State University, with the support of the International Telecommunication Union.
The Turkish partners confirmed their readiness to co-organize this large-scale international event. They emphasized that the implementation of this initiative will become an important step in strengthening the strategic partnership defined by the Memorandum of Understanding. It will also contribute to expanding academic mobility, enhancing joint research activities, and strengthening international academic cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey.
During the meeting, the participants also discussed practical aspects of the preparation and organization of the upcoming international forum.
Concluding the meeting, Volodymyr Shulha thanked the Turkish partners for the productive discussion and cooperation.
“We will make every effort to ensure the successful organization of this distinguished forum, which will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of the partnership between our universities,” the Rector noted.
