On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT) hosted a solemn ceremony to celebrate the graduation of its bachelor’s students. The alley in front of the main entrance welcomed graduates, their families, professors, university administration, representatives of partner companies, and distinguished guests — all united to honor the journey of those who completed a challenging yet exciting four-year academic path.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives due to Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. This powerful tribute reminded all attendees of the price of freedom and the importance of each individual’s contribution to the future of our country. Following this, the hosts officially opened the event. The National Anthem of Ukraine was performed, followed by an emotional rendition of "Yellow-and-Blue Heart" by students Danylo Hushchyn, Denys Ashmyantsev, and Anton Symonenko, filling the air with pride for Ukraine and its student youth.

SUICT Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences Volodymyr Shulha, addressed the graduates from the stage:

“Dear graduates! Your university years unfolded during turbulent times — from the COVID-19 pandemic to the ongoing full-scale war. You’ve experienced air raid sirens, blackouts, and you’ve supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yet through these trials, you’ve grown stronger and more determined to bring our Victory closer.

Dear bachelors, you are the pride of our university and the future of our nation. Despite the hardships, you have completed your academic programs with honor and successfully passed your state certification. This is also a testament to the dedication of our faculty. Colleagues, you have done a great job — there is much to be proud of!

From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate our graduates on completing their studies. May you always believe in yourselves, broaden your horizons, and reach professional heights. Wishing you a bright journey, success, and victories ahead!”

Oleh Kopiika, Chairman of the University Supervisory Board, also addressed the audience with words of support. Partner companies, including Huawei Ukraine LLC — represented by the company’s Communications Director Ma Yifan — and SITON GROUP LLC, expressed their interest in welcoming young graduates to their teams and emphasized the relevance of the knowledge and skills gained at SUICT.

A heartfelt speech was delivered by Professor Liubov Berkman, Doctor of Technical Sciences and faculty member of the Department of Mobile and Video Information Technologies. She highlighted the role of mentors in students’ professional growth and thanked students for their curiosity, cooperation, and mutual understanding.

One of the highlights of the day was the story of Sofiia Khalapova, who traveled from Kharkiv at 6 a.m. just to be the first to submit her application for the Artificial Intelligence program. Her determination became a symbol of dedication, belief in dreams, and love for one’s chosen path.

Andrii Kharyn, Head of the Student Government and a 2025 graduate himself, also addressed the audience. In his speech, he recalled student-led initiatives, volunteer projects, and the strong sense of unity that defines university life at SUICT.

The song “Ukraine”, performed by the student vocal ensemble — Maksym Karpenko, Danylo Hushchyn, Polina Manzhos, Iryna Kravchenko, and Hlib Lebedynskyi — marked the musical lead-in to the most anticipated part of the event.

Fanfares announced the official order “On Completion of Studies.” Diplomas with honors were presented by Rector Volodymyr Shulha, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Oleh Kopiika, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Artur Gudmanian.

The celebration concluded with warm wishes for continued success, personal happiness, and professional fulfillment for every graduate.
