A delegation from the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT), led by Rector Volodymyr SHULHA, held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine.

The main focus of the discussion was the potential for establishing institutional partnerships, launching new collaborative educational platforms, advancing the field of esports, and organizing joint academic and extracurricular events.

The SUICT delegation included:

• Volodymyr Shulha, Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Senior Researcher
• Serhii Kondratiuk, Assistant to the Rector, Professor at the Department of Public Administration, PhD in Political Science
• Kateryna Nesterenko, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Information Technologies
• Viktor Vyshnivskyi, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor
• Viacheslav Tretiak, Head of the Department of Internet Technologies, PhD in Technical Sciences

The National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine was represented by:

• Oleksandr Pyzhov, Acting Rector, Vice-Rector for Academic and Strategic Development, PhD in Law
• Dmytro Nikonorov, Head of the International Relations Office and Protocol Coordinator, Vice President of the Ukrainian Esports Federation
• Borys Bibyk, Head of the Charitable Foundation for the Advancement of Physical Culture and Sports “Slavutych”

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the organization of esports tournaments, the hosting of joint scientific and practical conferences, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in the digital age. Special attention was given to the synergy between physical education and modern digital technologies, which opens new horizons for youth engagement and development.

“Esports has long evolved beyond entertainment – It is a modern industry with tremendous potential that demands not only technical expertise but also high levels of physical and psychological resilience. In partnership with the National University of Physical Education and Sport, we see an opportunity to create unique event formats that combine both domains,” noted SUICT Rector Volodymyr SHULHA.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to sign a formal cooperation memorandum and to develop a joint roadmap for future collaboration, including increased engagement between student communities.

The first joint esports initiatives are expected to be launched in the near future, creating a platform for promoting innovative forms of student sports in Ukraine.
