On Monday, May 19, during the scientific and practical forum “Science Parks as Drivers of Urban Innovation Ecosystems: Synergy Between Higher Education Institutions, Science, and the City”, held in the Column Hall of the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA), Dr. Volodymyr Shulha, Rector of the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT), and Dr. Maryna Petchenko, Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Social Development were awarded official Commendations from the Mayor of Kyiv.
The awards were conferred in celebration of Science Day in Ukraine.
They were presented on behalf of the Mayor by Mr. Serhii Pavlovskyi, Director of the Municipal Research Institution “Institute for Socio-Economic Development of the City.”
The commendations recognized the active civic engagement of Dr. Shulha and Dr. Petchenko, their significant personal contributions to the advancement of Ukrainian science, and their efforts to strengthen the scientific and technological potential of the capital.
“This recognition is yet another affirmation of the vital role SUICT plays in fostering Kyiv’s innovation ecosystem, promoting scientific leadership, and advancing modern technologies in higher education,” noted Dr. Volodymyr Shulha.
