On November 28, 2024, a representative scientific and practical international round table “Cyber Diplomacy: Strategies and Practices for Ukraine, Europe and the World” was held at the Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.

The university team was led by the rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences Volodymyr Shulga, acted as co-organizers and active participant of this event, which brought together leading experts from ministries, institutions and higher education institutions involved in the digital development of Ukraine and the protection of its national cyberspace. From SUICT there were also:

• Oleksandr Korchenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, First Vice-Rector of the State University of Information and Communication Technologies
• Svitlana Petkun, Doctor of Public Administration, Head of the Department of Public Management and Administration
• Iryna Verkhovtseva, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Public Management and Administration

Hennadiy Nadolenko, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador as the host, opened the event. He greeted the participants of the event and noted that it is extremely important for the development of cyber diplomacy of Ukraine and the organization of countermeasures against russian aggression in cyberspace.

In his speech, the head of SUICT thanked the organizers who made efforts to make this “round table” possible, as well as our defenders who defend our country and make it possible to hold such representative meetings.

He noted that this is an extremely important event. Such events will significantly determine the further development and functioning of the entire field of information and communication technologies. The Rector urged the participants to take full advantage of the relevant opportunities for productive communication, exchange of ideas and formation of new useful connections.
