April 7, 2016 members of the department took part in the international scientific-practical conference on "Space Applications and GIS in the interests of national security and defense", held at National National University of Defence Ukraine name of Ivan ChernyakhovskyThe aim of the conference was to identify the main problems of space applications and geographic information systems in the security and defense of Ukraine and recommendations for solutions.

The organizers of the conference were the National University of Defence Ukraine name of Ivan Chernyakhovsky, Ltd. "EsriUkraine" - the official distributor of Esri in Ukraine and JSC "ECOMMCo" - Partner Esri-Ukraine.

The most interesting part of the program was the performance of Chris Dorman (Coordinator business Esri European National Security Team) and Robinson Kerry (chief engineer Esri European National Security Team) which dealt with the geographic information system (GIS) that allows you to concentrate in a single space data from various sources. So - to respond quickly to changing situations and take prompt management decisions.
