According to chief designer of the "FED" Sergey Senkina, the main advantages of the heat exchanger Kharkov design low weight and the absence of movable elements.
"This device has no sources, which would consume energy. Any external source that makes either warm or cool any elements, except that this device is the additional weight. The less it weighs, the cheaper the launch. The second is a fundamentally new approach to create a structure that avoids any moving parts. We can say that our heat exchanger is more monolithic - it has no elements of rotation or of devices that could after some time be out of order," said Sergei Anikin.
