To the engineers from University of New South Wales (UNSW) it was succeeded the first to work out sunny batteries which allow to convert to 34,5% of sunny energy in elektric, unassisted concentrator. And it means that the Australian scientists succeeded to set a new world record. A previous record belonged to the standard of the American company Alta Devices and 24% presented.

Record-holders declared that in future will work for the yet greater decline of cost of sunny panels.

According to a professor Martin Green from UNSW, it was before considered that such level of efficiency can be attained only through many years. He asserts that recently the German research institute of Agora Energiewende put a purpose to attain 35% efficiency of sunny batteries without a concentrator to 2050th.

Size of sunny battery, created in Australia, 28 square centimetres present. She consists of four layers, each of which absorbs energy of sunlight with maximal efficiency.

It is considered that for the batteries of such construction the limit of efficiency presents 53%, therefore ahead many records. Now they plan to build a battery measuring 800 square centimetres. Battery-record-holder Alta Devices was just the same size.
