From July 8 to 11, 2025, a delegation from the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT), led by Rector Volodymyr Shulha, participated in the AI for Good Global Summit, held in Geneva, Switzerland, under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) – the United Nations specialized agency for digital technologies.
The summit was one of the key highlights of SUICT’s visit to Geneva. For several years, the university has been home to a thriving Department of Artificial Intelligence, which trains a new generation of specialists with a strong foundation in technology, ethics, and AI safety. Artificial intelligence remains a strategic focus for SUICT in advancing digital innovation.
The summit was dedicated to the role of AI in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to the responsible use of emerging technologies for the benefit of society. The event brought together global leaders, developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and educators, gathering over 40,000 participants and more than 200 distinguished speakers.
The SUICT delegation paid special attention to educational sessions focused on integrating AI into the learning process. In particular, they attended the following panels:
At the exhibition stands, the delegation explored the latest AI innovations presented by global leaders such as Google, HP, Tesla, Furhat Robotics, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard, EPFL, UNICEF, WHO, the World Bank, MIRALab, and other prominent institutions and companies.
Participation in the AI for Good Summit not only affirmed SUICT’s presence within the global academic community but also served as a powerful impetus for the further development of AI-focused educational programs in Ukraine. SUICT continues to evolve as a hub of innovative education – where technology serves humanity.
