NATO Cyber Defence Centre published a book on cyber war between Ukraine and Russia under the name of Cyber War in Perspective: Russian Aggression against Ukraine.
The book, created by scientists and practitioners, experts, an analysis of the current activities in the promotion and protection of information as well as analysis of the strategic and tactical consequences of cyberwarfare.
The conflict in Ukraine is a fertile ground for cyber-warfare, it is indicated in the annotation to the book. Russia and Ukraine to defend their own geopolitical interests, and each country has a high level of professionalism in the field of information technology and hacking computer networks.
The book deals with the period 2013-2015. Experts point out that the term "cyber attack" went beyond just the information war. Now, the concept includes a digital propaganda, DDoS-campaign defacement of web-sites, information leakage due to the attacks of activists, as well as the use of malicious software to spy.
