For more than 4 years, the owners of smartphones use the VoIP application Viber. The service works on all popular platforms: Android, BlackBerry OS, iOS, Symbian, Windows Phone, Bada.

Viber itself tightens rooms with address book. With it you can make free calls via Wi-Fi and 3G network to those mobile devices that have Viber, it also allows you to send text messages with pictures, audio and video.

Initially, Viber was created in 2010 on the iPhone and on the Android platform in 2011. Final version to all users, was released on July 19, 2012. In 2014 Japanese company Rakuten bought Viber for 900 million dollars.

At the moment, Viber is available in 29 languages. According to Japanese company Rakuten, Viber worldwide has installed approximately 280 million users.

In Egypt, military personnel and their families are forbidden to use viber, as there are suspicions that the application is used to support a "Zionist spy".
