At this time, very intensive work is underway to establish the future shape of the fifth generation of mobile networks (5G). The main objectives of the standard 5G: expansion of the range of frequencies used; increase network capacity; improving the efficiency of the network infrastructure, built on the basis of cloud technologies. One of the conditions of the future evolution of the 5G network will increase the spectral efficiency of the transmitted signals by the use of new signal-code constructions.
According to preliminary estimates the deployment of 5G networks will be produced in the range of 791-862 MHz, 2.5 GHz, 2.69 GHz or 5 GHz-band. The increasing traffic requires an increased growth of spreading to be used in systems 5G. High-frequency ranges at centimeter wavelengths (cmWave) and millimeter wave (mmWave) wavelength range are taken because of their potential to support wider channel bands and, as a consequence, the ability to provide high data rates.
The standard 5G, multiple connectivity, including by relaying from device to device (D2D (device-to-device direct access to subscriber devices), that is " multietap" routing (multihop), leading to the expansion of coverage. To solve such problems, leading telecommunication companies offer their creative core development.
May 31, 2016 at the seminar "Innovation starts here" in Kiev representatives of Nokia Lydia Varukina and Alexei Efremenko presented technologies and platforms that allow to solve the facing operators of the problem and improve the daily lives of people in the world of unified communications: solutions in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, complex services for the efficient and effective deployment of small cells and outdoor multi-level networks; LTE-Advanced technology c aggregation of three carriers; unique method of increasing the capacity of Wi-Fi networks; New solutions for deploying and guarantee quality of service, security, and network management based on cloud NFV / SDN technologies. In addition, it was demonstrated solutions and services for 5G networks that can adapt to the diverse needs of different industries and promote large-scale reforms in sectors such as health, security, automotive, law enforcement, "smart city" and many others.
Great interest aroused audience development for using not orthogonal signals 5G called Universal Filtered OFDM (UF-OFDM); - Signal OFDM with universal filtering band emissions. It was also presented in more detail head of the department of radio technologies Saiko VG new development - ready to work in networks 5G Air Scale radio system, which will replace the highly popular Flexі base station. It supports all technologies - from 2G to LTE Advance Pro, and will also support the 5G, when this technology appears. The structure Nokia Air Scale includes a new base station is designed for the future with the original signal processing units (baseband) and radio frequency elements that will give customers a previously unattained performance. Air Scale also consumes 60% less power than systems Flexi.
