Material and technical base of the department of radio technology includes not only stationary antenna and radio system, but also has at its disposal a mobile communication tools. One of these is the radio Motorola TLKR T80.
The main advantage of a professional radio communication in general it is independence from the mobile operator, tariff plan and even additional equipment, without which, for example, a GSM mobile communication is not possible.
On one of the workshops on the subject "The reception and processing of signals", under the supervision of graduate student Kravchenko V.I., the students of the RTD-41 conducted tested and identified the benefits of this type of communication. First of all, students are familiarized with the characteristics specified in the technical documentation. Attention attracted communication range, which was up to 10 km. The students quickly realized that this option depends on the installation location and the presence of noise of different nature.
The aim of practical training: determine the actual range of the radio station. The group was divided into two subgroups: one remained in the audience, and the second with the teacher went beyond of University. Two subgroups almost continuously kept in contact via radio.
The subgroup of students with the teacher moved away from the University for a Considerable Distance. Barriers to communication were houses, cars and playgrounds, but the students communicated without loss of voice quality.
When students returned to audience could conclude that in spite of the functionality of modern mobile phones, not every mobile network operator may provide an opportunity to pass it as qualitatively. Naturally, constructively compare of radio and mobile terminals is incorrectly, however, these devices have common task - to transfer voice with minimal loss of quality.
The only disadvantage of these devices is relatively small range, however, the environment of use of these devices is different from cellular phones.
Motorola TLKR T80 is not the single mobile data devices at a distance that have department of Radio technologies. In this regard, the students again and again can to compare the quality of transfer of speech in practice.
