According to the curriculum of the English Department, in the first decade of October, the second-year students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Information Technologies present their projects on the topic: “Convergence as the process of  integration of different technologies into new types of technologies”.

Students of the Department of Computer Sciences and the Department of information systems and technologies while working on their projects under the guidance of Anzhelika Nikolaeva, senior teacher of the English Department, got convinced that the convergence of nanotechnologies, biotechnologies and cognitive technologies is one of the most promising interdisciplinary directions of modern science, which opens new horizons for the development of technologies and their impact on society.

The most active participation and the most interesting projects were presented by the students of the ISD-21 group: Yana Morozova, Artem Shapoval and Denys Rudenko.

The project of Yana Morozova, @yanuussik is related to the convergence of nanotechnologies in medicine. Nanotechnologies that work with materials at the nano-level (1-100 nanometers) allow the creation of new materials with unique properties, including nanomaterials for medicine, biosensors, nanomedicines and systems for delivering drugs to specific cells.

Artem Shapoval, @_artem.sh_ presented a project related to the convergence of biotechnologies covering a wide range of engineering solutions in biological systems, including genetic engineering modifications and synthetic biology.

Denys Rudenko, @ggnsty highlighted the impact of convergence on cognitive technologies, covering intelligent systems, artificial intelligence and neuroscience, which studies the functioning of the brain.

The convergence of nanotechnology, biotechnology and cognitive technology is helping to create new approaches to solving global problems such as health care, ecology and social challenges. This interdisciplinary approach expands the horizons of scientific research and innovation, opening up new opportunities for improving the quality of life of mankind.
