The State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT) hosted a meeting between its student community and representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine, who shared their practical experience in applying modern technologies to the fields of national defense and security.

A key focus of the event was on autonomous and remotely operated systems, which have played a crucial role in modern operational missions and the protection of Ukraine in recent years. Students had the opportunity to learn about the design and functionality of mobile aerial platforms, which, due to their compact size and high maneuverability, are capable of performing a wide range of tasks – from territorial surveillance to integration with other technical systems.

The National Guard experts provided real-world insights into the deployment of these systems during wartime and in environments closely resembling real-world challenges. They emphasized the importance of precise control, in-depth knowledge of technical specifications, and the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic conditions.

In addition, students were introduced to the programming fundamentals of such devices, their power systems, orientation sensors, and communication modules. A training flight demonstration sparked lively interest and engaged students in active discussion. Some even took on the role of operators themselves – an experience that generated great enthusiasm and curiosity.

Events like this not only broaden students’ technical knowledge but also deepen their understanding of the role of engineering in ensuring state security.
