The teaching staff of the Department carries out work with students with the purpose of increase of efficiency of process of training and preparation of highly skilled experts for one of the most promising sectors of national economy-the communications industry. Students are actively involved in research work. Among the major common themes are the following: "systems of active queue management of packets in TCP/IP networks, systems of automatic control of the radiation power of the transmitter in adaptive radio channels, systems of FAP in the synchronization channel", "Systems and synchronization processes. Under the guidance of their teachers and students take part in regional Olympics on telecommunications, scientific conferences held in SUT and beyond.

One of the most important parts of the work with the students is curatorial work in groups. Its aim is to help students adjust to University studies, the development of independent and creative work of students, creating all conditions for students to find your place among the students in the social life. Supervisors conduct interviews with students on topical for Ukrainian youth topics, visit cultural events.

Employees of the Department of Commutation systems pay maximum efforts, so that students of SUT will have not only become first-class specialists in the field of communications, but also a highly cultured and comprehensively developed people.
